If you didn't already know, I'm rocking it at the University of Colorado now. I'll be doing this for at least the next four years even though I kind of wish it could be longer...
I've changed a lot in the past few weeks and I'm happy for the first time in a long while. A lot of people I know would be surprised to know just how long it's been since I could say I was genuinely happy (not counting ComicCon of coarse). But this also means that, with everything I'm doing now, I just don't have enough time for the internet. I'm sure the only place I go regularly anymore is Facebook. If you have a facebook and want to add me, just send me a note. Otherwise, you won't see me around much anymore.
Just before I go, I think I should talk about what exactly I'm doing here lately... I'm majoring in film which is, although some of the most fun I've ever had, time consuming. I not only have class and homework but screenings every week for movies. Tonight we're watching Pan's Labrynth. The last movie we watched was No Country for Old Men. In addition to that, I have four other classes: Music in the Rock Era, Advanced Writing, Astronomy, and Peace and Conflict Studies. Music in the Rock Era is a rock history/theory class that I adore. Not too much homework from that one but a lot of memorization. Advanced Writing is a little bitch that's required of Freshmen. My teacher generally emails the class extra homework every 11 PM before class the next morning. Astronomy is a mix of very interesting and stupid. We're re-learning sigfigs and it's pissing me off. But, at the same time, the textbook's so exciting (I know, right?!) that it's interesting. I love Peace and Conflict Studies. It's like going to People to People's Global Youth Forum every other day. I love it so much and it actually matters to me which is a new concept as far as school's concerned. Every class has a certain amount of studying every night that consumes my soul but is worth it.
Outside of classes, I'm fencing for the school. I just restarted and I'm really excited for it even if, right before practice, I kind of dread going. I think it's more of a nervousness thing than a "I really don't want to do this" thing. I love it when I'm there, I just hate screwing up in front of people. However, one thing we're missing from the conversation: Molly in sports is like ice not melting in hell. It's so weird but so much fun. I may or may not be getting a job sorting papers and stuff in the math department which is also hilarious to me. I may be somewhat good at math but that doesn't mean I get along with it. Other that that, I've been going out every weekend and partying like a rockstar. This is also something I would have never done in high school. But it takes me out of my suicidal depression so I love it
Anyway, this is what I'm going to be doing for the next year. I'll be having fun, staying safe, and learning lots. Remember the facebook note if you're a dA friend who still wants to keep in contact and I don't already have your facebook.
Good night and good luck.
